haha, yeah... the 9mm under the pillow was pretty quality... so was reading dracula at night in the middle of no where... i quite enjoyed it.

(totally not a road rig, but for weekend trips, it's pretty damned comfy.)

I can't read that much crap.

If you are living in it, don't go smaller than a 6' tall van. Sprinters are nice, but prolly can't get up the 4WD shit. Get solar panels and know how to use them. If you do a good job on the conversion I'll buy it from you in 4 years...

Sportsmobile would be nice if you are parked for longer periods at a time.

Pulling a light pop-up is a worthy option for the short 1-2 month trips. Again, get a good solar panel system.

Otherwise, station wagon or a mini-van is ample.

Or... for those cold, lonely nights

You can find some great deals on used diesel trucks right now.

And biodiesel is just $12/gallon!

Lead, follow, or get out of the way!

For what it is worth, My 2000 VW eurovan has been the perfect set of wheels. They solved the weak engine problem with the V6 engine. 20+ mpg, easily goes up parleys @ 85 in cruise control. I lived in mine for a month at Ouray CO last winter. the sad thing is they no longer make this car. Look at the VW Rialta too. It might be a good option.

the one bad thing i've heard about the sprinter is that they are prohibitively slow for a road tripper?

otherwise, they seem pretty cool.

i've noticed alot of these around lately_
