When was the last time you clipped an asca bolt and where :?:
shame on mike white for thinking cracks shouldn't be bolted in the first place and shame on him for calling it like it is and hurting my feelings.

Christopher of the Everglades.

Chris Begue told me he drilled that route on lead. Here is an example of a killer route with fantastic protection. I feel strongly that if the Ruckman's had done this line it would have 3 stars in their book. Really fun, sustained climbing. This is one of the better .11 sport route in lcc as far as I'm concerned. Not just another slab because its more what people think of as a sport route in that its closer to vertical.

oh, and the rap anchors on the thumb?

Comfort Zone and Barefoot in Barbados on 4 May in LCC.

Left Ski Track at Tahquitz last weekend.

I donate every year. This year, even took ol' Greg out to dinner in Vegas (got me a signed copy of JU's book to boot).

At the City? That'd be Brad.

He showed me the original anchor that we used to rappel on from that route. Was just a sling sticking out of a crack. He dug it out, and, the sling was attached to an old Dolt nut. Pretty cool.

side note maybe deserving of it's own thread but anyone notice that the SLCA website (http://www.saltlakeclimbers.org) is a bit stale?

Anything going on with these guys or what?

Ouch. Website management can cost a lot of money. It is hard to demand a lot from a volunteer-based organization. We've already had to drop the website administrator so we could keep the coffee maid, chauffeur, and massage therapist.

SLCA would welcome help from someone with creative website skills who could donate some time.
