Looks like Victor... Did he do it from the undercling all the way left of the rail also?

Old thread! Going to climb on this thing today and get a little video for the next LCC Classics episode. Hope it's as good as it looks!

Do report on the snow conditions please. I'd ride my bike up there all clad in spandex and shit but I'm too lazy.

Snow conditions are good to go for sure.

Edillon,
Didn't end up climbing on this rig yesterday, but planning on going up this evening, maybe around 5 if I can wrangle up enough pads and peeps.

Side note, we climbed Ring Toss last night, what's all the fuss about? That thing is REALLY good and quite reasonable. Now is the time to do it, if you guys haven't.

Might run up there tonight to spot/provide pad/stare in awe... If Sev is game that is, I'm sure he has plans to visit some remote boulder with one highball gritty slab and a talus landing populated with alligator-sharktopus.

Regarding this:

I'd say lack of brass balls leads to all the fuss.

Walk up to that thing 18 years ago when bouldering was not very developed, no pads, no snow landing, and flash it with no beta and no spotters like John did, that is what all of the fuss is about. Everything has gotten easier, and certain things that were scary simply are not any more with pad and spotting technology (even Superfly used to be scary I think, because you would fall weird and hit the ground). It is all about context, and yeah, that's what all the fuss is about!
ps. must be nice up there right now.

Heyo,

Sorry if that came off abrasive, not trying to demean the first ascentionist in any way. I was just caught off guard when I climbed it after all the talk I've heard of it over the past few years. At any rate, this thing is world class and deserves hype for being rad, not a V8 death bloc. Once again, sorry for the poor wording, LCC for lyfe.
