A couple of us were up at babe yesterday, with the intentions of giving it a go. However, after looking at the lone micromicromicrochip left hand, the terrible left foot, and the complete lack of other holds, we decided to say fuck it and try something normal.

I'm sure for really strong folks that start is piss, but for people who aren't ridiculously strong and/or inhuman, what's the beta to start babe? Do you just jump up to the decent looking right hand?

i think most people grab the shitty left hand, put a foot on, and jump to the decent edge to start. I guess you could just jump to the edge first (unless you are short like me and can't jump that high).

supposedly there is a way to do a drop knee and sort of stem your way up to the right hand crimp.

the way i've seen it done, however, is the jump way boulderjunkie described.

if one were to look around near by, there are some rocks that can be stacked....

just know one thing,

only pussies use the jug out right to finish.

There used to be a crystal for the right hand thumb that allowed for a static pull on and reach, but it broke off so it is now back to the original style of jump and stick the edge. Not as easy as it looks. Bear down on that left hand. As for what 200# says, i saw that guy Justin use the jug out right so i would have to agree.

as a true fan of that guy justin, i would have to say that he should finish it straight up because i know he's not a pussy.

in spite of what that hard-man manho says.

lolz.

for bragging rights and all, it's gone straight up.

and i'd be psyched to see it.

Well that sucks, cause it looks fucking hard.

And don't worry 200#, I'd never bail on something in little. Unless it's as difficult as a 5.7 route.

Scary, no matter how you do it. I'd bail. I'm not proud.

I don't believe you'd bail.

Simply because in order for you to bail, you'd have to actually GO bouldering sometime. And no, running on a trail with rocks doesn't count.

Don't even start with me. How many times have we been climbing outside in the last two weeks, 5? Not too shabby if you ask me. I wish i could run on trails.
