Milford Crags/ Mineral Mnts./ Rock Corral ?'s

Is there any local authority on the Milford Crags? Name(s)? New Routers? Contact info?

I'd imagine there's an out of print guide book somewhere. Anyone care to share a copy?

There's a bit of kitty litter there, but coming from the N.W. and the absence of moss, I'm game to go.

Being less than 50mi from my house I'd like to spend a significant amount of time there. Granite is a favorite of mine.

Any info is appreciated!

Bueller..........Bueller............

Seems like there would be some really great bouldering out there.

I just googled 'mineral mountains climbing' and it led me to this website I've never really seen before.
Something called rockclimbing.com where you could probably look for Randy K, who would probably be stoked to know someone else is looking to climb down there.
But then I just googled it so who knows if this info is valid.
Post up some photos to inspire us to come down!
I found this one but am not to sure if its very inspiring.

I climbed the chimney/flake in the middle and one pitch up on the slab above around 1997. The rock is can be gravel-esc so drilling this on lead was kind of scary. Always wanted to return, but never did. We also climbed a few other scattered routes. I bet there would be some okay climbing if it were to get travel. I'll stick with LCC or the Notch peak area. I was drilling 1/4 bolts at the time. if somebody goes up, they should yank em and put in good bolts.

Thanks for the reply's thus far.

Kitty Litter was the first thing that came to mind when my wife and I were poking around there. Nothing a little cleaning and traffic couldn't take care of.

What I though was so great about the Mineral's was the absence of anyone there. We had the place to ourselves on a beautiful fall day. It reminded me of a cross between the City of Rocks and J-Tree.

I've checked all the usual forums; RC.com, Summit post, Mtn project.... An overview map off the area with any existing formation names would be helpful. I've seen the Geode Dome pic, thanx for that.

This spring should be some fun as I'll finally have a new drill. The Tanaka I have is a museum piece and the Bulldog is long dead. Of course if you guys/gals like climbing on button heads I've got a handful of 5/16" x 1"1/4 's.

There's definitely more cowboys than climber's down here in Cedar. Until the partner problem is solved, single pitch stuff is what I was envisioning when I was there last.

Thanks again for the responses and kind welcome to the new guy. I look forward to meeting some of you if ya make it down this way. Keep them posts coming.........

Merry X-mas!
