The Brighton Boltapocalypse

Postby Gambel Oak » Sun Jul 06, 2014 8:42 pm

I was running / exploring above Brighton and ran across this. I don't get it. There are old bolts next to new bolts, some an inch or so apart, others a foot apart. I'm a novice at this sort of thing and it still doesn't seem right.

The bolt splatter goes up the obvious smooth face in the middle. This crag is located below Mt Millicent up in the trees near the trail going from Lake Mary to Twin Lakes Reservoir. You can't see the bolts from the trail but if you walk up there its obvious.

Thanks for the uploading photos for tards tutorial.

Looks like a rebolting project gone wrong.
I'm sure they will come back and remove the old bolts someday.
shame on mike white for thinking cracks shouldn't be bolted in the first place and shame on him for calling it like it is and hurting my feelings.

I don't think it is that wall given the descriptions of the routes. This little crag is on the far east side of the boulder field in the trees.
