I broke a hold and fell on the third pitch (not the crucial flakes). Scary for sure. The first two pitches are great though along with the awesome summit! Did you find the 'chimney' on the 4th pitch? bc we didn't.

Here's a boulder slide problem where you have to drag yourself up a ramp and replace the beverage with another beverage. This climber left two beverages because he is from Utah and Utah people are rad.

Where? and Who?

Just before the Cisco boat ramp, on river right.
Heard you had nice flows - still above 8,000?

It involved getting the oar ripped out of my hand at the top of the rapid and getting hit by a 20+foot lateral on the right about 4 seconds later. The boat got airborne from downriver reports. We both popped up down river from the boat next to each other, then almost got pinned on the Rock of Shock. I got sucked down who knows how far pushing off the boat and trying to avoid getting pinned. Thank god we didn't go into the Room of Doom. Wife somehow stayed with the boat. TDA got to use his throw line and rescued a gasping for air me. We were a shit show moving down the bowling alley where...thank god...my boat snagged a rock in the middle of the river. We flipped my boat back over and I trembled through Sock-it-to me....shit was downright frightening.

Total gear lost: One throw bag (damn faulty fast tech buckle), 2 pairs of smith sunglasses, one awesome pair of Wally World slip on hybrid sandals, one BBQ. I recovered at the boat ramp my visor and one shoe.

Awesome story. Double thumbs up. Way to get after it and good job rigging for flip.

It was a big wave. We were turned around after going through Skull, and watched TP flip his rig. They (TP and TP wife) were pointing and downstream looking directly at us when they went over. It looked like they were going up a big berm except the boat kept going up and up and up, then over. When their heads popped up, they were heading directly for the Rock Of Shock with their upside down boat heading right behind them. I was relieved to see both of them push off and left of the rock and not get trapped by the boat. The little dagger of rock after Skull Rapid proved to be a great snag for the boat and give us enough time to run a rope to the bank and deal with everything. I'm pretty excited to see TP go back and send it clean with a better oar setup. The one oar was really loose in the lock thus the pop out. We got some video, but I don't think that the flip was captured. I think that stretch is more technical than many due to the narrow rocky nature of the canyon. Nothing like dodging rocks, walls, waves, and holes.
