Awesome. Thanks for taking the guilt of potential death of others off my shoulders.

The irony is those were stainless studs I got from a climbing shop. Mike said probably the rock on top of that formation was just porous enough to keep them from wedging correctly. The tighter one came out easiest. Go figure. Mike also replaced the bottom bolt on Errant Edge. Someone else replaced the other two, but we don't know who.

I will guess the Ruckman's. The older book shows 2 bolts right next to eachother and the newer one doesn't.

shame on mike white for thinking cracks shouldn't be bolted in the first place and shame on him for calling it like it is and hurting my feelings.

Which route? And no, I ain't going back up that pile for another season - unless it involves fixed lines, crowbars and lots of beer. And possibly families hiking the talus at the base.

Greg message me your number.
I got the whole week off, so we could give it a go on the thumb.

Fix lines to lunch ledge, then come back and get er done.
Nob job and S-Direct should take a day each. Most of the work should be redoing the belays.

Party on the thumb anybody?

Said hi to George on Saturday night. Hauled him to our hotel room for some tape. Yeah, big cheater, he tapes his hands for crack climbing.

Told him his bolts hadn't all been replaced on S Direct. Thought that was fun.

Lookin' and climbing strong still. Not bad!
