13a spray

Strong work Clay, way to bring in the numbers. Too bad you're not on the potential cover shot, it would have added some color. Although for you that dyno is probably a scrunched up high step...

And Brian, that shot of the snowy ridge is awesome. Makes me want to hike further than the Secret Garden!

I'm not defending that guy but...

It should be noted that the above beater (whoever he might be) isn't stick clipping his way up the route. That would be very shameful. He's just hanging the draws for a solid pinkpoint attempt. That could be regarded as slightly less shameful.
He might have accidentally stick clipped the 2nd bolt too... but that's because he had been suckling on AF's tit all spring and stick clips are mandatory out there. Also, maybe he knew that the first crux was getting established on the face and fumbling that clip resulted in mean falls back into the corner?

Really I have no idea what anyone would be doing with a cheater stick up there. I'll suggest he brings an 18' long stiff draw next time

That first clip isn't that bad. Now the ones on the face where you could land on the slab below if you blow it... Those are scary.

You're not even rock climbing when you clip the first bolt... It's the 2nd that slammed me in the roof before and I figured I might as well get the 3rd on since someone had left a cheater stick sitting around 1/3 of the way up the route.
