you'd have a better chance slinging a whale w/ a rubber band

i did, but similar to john wayne bobbitt, it was hard and pointless.
maybe ten years ago it stuck out further, but i think its just too small, too blunt, and too disfunctional.

plus, before making that move, the last thing i wanted to rock onto was a four inch blob covered in transient webbing.
even with a slip knot i didn't think it'd stay on to hold a fall?
it'd slow you down maybe.

JWB is a rather dated pop reference, BTW.

Best quote in a long time.

Slinging the chickenhead no es muy bueno, methinks. The move really isn't that bad, just commit.

Take Drew's suggestion with a grain of salt, he's pretty good at that stuff. Climbing up to the crux on Koyaanawhatever is pretty stout. Don't even consider it if the climbing to there seemed at all challenging.

My looped chicken head has caught three or four falls, never came off. FWIW. It may not be needed, but made up for some PPP. (Purely psychological protection)

DB (notice the UPPER CASE!) has been my hero since I bought my first internal frame pack from him circa 1989. Nothing says hero like swapping back sweat.

A real winner eh?

I should have been concentrating more on belaying instead of taking blurry buttshots, so I posted this one so as to get flamed into never doing that again.
