It's that small pond a ways up Willow Creek, maybe willow lake? BCC, just below Soli. on the N side.

Thread's dying. So is winter. Sigh...

Oh wait... What's that I see out the window? Could it be?? Is the GNAR really back???

Cause if it is, it will lead to more strange ridge traverses:

and more of Shaft slaying it, even though he'll out-bitch even a seasoned complainer such as myself and will make you wonder if you'll have to carry him down the mountain...

Check out the size of that arm too!

PS: for anyone who's gonna bitch that it will also result in more of my shitty pics being posted, die.

Meh. Got what I came for, I didn't want to be too greedy. First tracks down Argenta is not something to scoff at, it basically never happens.

Edit to add: speaking of Argenta... I'd have to agree with steveoh, things are settling but the spook factor is still high. Finally centerpunched the gut of Reynolds yesterday and even after dropping cornices and ski cutting the shit out of it I was still on high alert.

good thing we passed on that. Thought about it good and long. It was pretty loaded and deep and hollow at the spot we crossed which looks like about where the crown was. gnar.

ps - i've only had the pleasure of breaking trail up argenta once.

pss - tyson bradley made fun of your skin track.

Yeah we looked at it too but decided against it, too ugly and probably too long to get there anyway.
I wouldn't exactly talk about pleasure when it comes to breaking trail. And I believe he was referring to the track taking off from the ridge but I might be wrong... He can get up earlier and show me the way next time.
Anyway, keep in mind the saying of a wise man (about climbing but equally applicable to sskiing): I'm the leader, I can do whatever the fuck I want

edit to add: nice pics btw, did you guys stick around all day?
