The route you ask?

Leading to the crowdsourced fundraising campaign to print guidebooks.

The only thing dude can crowd is a ledge... He recently brought a party of 3 to the small ledge at the base of Perhaps where GRK and I were camped up with 2 other people. He had no qualms with doubling the size of the junkshow, he got fussy about the other party not getting off the ledge and up Perhaps fast enough, clipped once to my leg, once to my ass and once to the pack, I eventually ended up standing on the slab above the ledge tensioning off the anchor to avoid getting trampled. He also treated his "clients" with the utmost contempt and berated one of them constantly on the traverse to that belay until she rolled across it.

If that's what people call guiding around here it makes me think that I could make a fortune just yelling at people and generally being myself at the crag.

i am the walking/talking guidebook and
therefore have no need for future reference.

i do think guidebooks are a ballsy undertaking!! fuk, those
things take more work than a gay marriage in utah.
ps: Pete's Rock: A Climbers Guide hits the stands March 2014
paypal: grk10vq@uc.com $20.00 / use giftcode: ShaftSUXballz! for $5.00 off

i probably wouldn't have gone up there seeing that many people on a ledge,
however i wasn't feeling very crowded at all in the end. i thought he'd just
come up anyway and drill another anchor.

btw: next time i'm out of placements can i just use your ass?
number 2 cams are bomber. BWAT~!

That's what happens when you're a ways off the belay at the height of the shitshow then get lowered on top of a hot chick. She could crowd me all day...

As for clipping my ass, well, maybe as a chockstone?

This one succumbed to various edits but was preserved by the magic of the quote button.
Some 13a climbing beater takes on Paul Ross in the "should we add bolts to runouts" threads (worth a read if you want to elevate your blood pressure or need inspiration for murderous thoughts):

The call-out:
"Hey Brit, got any tips on how sporto, grade-chasin posers can be as awesome as you are?
I'm in for a crusty old man sac competition.
I first put on rock shoes 30 years ago. Your move."

The tongue-lash:
"you do realize USBRIT did the "fissure brown" in 1959, in boots, with a pack, and worthless pro right?
he first put his shoes on 60(plus) years ago."

"Found a pair of tools in the parking area for GWI today 1/28. Shoot me a PM or reply with a description so we can get them back to you."

"hi, how are you, I lost my piolets there, a pair of quarx from petzl, let me know if you found those...

thanks
Juliana"

"Hi Juliana, sadly not Quarks, hope you find them!"

WTF 2 Pairs in 1 week?! Who the? What the? I know where I'm getting my rent money for next month.

an ethically concerned citizen wrote:When a friend and I were climbing about a year ago, he led a very difficult pitch. It was his third time trying to RP the pitch and on his fourth attempt he had 3 cams above him that he lowered from. Cuz each attempt ended up lower than the previous. He took a good rest and than he send the pitch.

Would you consider it a red point or a pinkpoint?

its been troubling me for a year until i finally decided to consult the definitive source of all information climbing related, mountain project.

oh, and by difficult pitch i mean bushwack crack.

Gnashing of teeth on this one:

Generation E representative wrote:Two days ago I left two TCUs on a purple and red Neutrino carabiner and two small DMM brass offset nuts on a carabiner at the base of Beckey's Wall in Little Cottonwood Canyon. [...] Feel free to call me or shoot me a text at 8054159801.

I truncated the part about being a whiny little shit who wants their forgotten shipped to them if found. 4 days later:

Some dude from Sandy wrote:Glad to hear that you got your gear back. After offering me a $50 finders fee to mail the gear back or meeting up with one of your local friends to return it. You decide to call the cops on me? For finding your gear? What the hell man

The response is to die for:

Generation E representative wrote:Texted you several times and called twice over two days and only received vague responses In which you never said anything about retuning my gear. I texted you back immediately and waited several hours for a response. I then filed a police report with SLC for LOST/STOLEN gear. I told them the whole story and also said that I wanted to deal with you personally but was having major difficulty getting a hold of you. A detective called me three hours later and said that he meet up with you and got all of my gear back. I stressed for three days trying to communicate with someone who I didnt know at all, told me nothing about himself, and who didn't seem very receptive or interested in returning my gear. The detective also said that you metioned that my gear might be considered booty. In my opinion climbing gear that is stuck by one party and retrieved by another is booty.

Curious to see how many people are gonna stand behind that bro
