While I was climbing and tested the top piton it pulled out on me. On the repel down I placed it back in and hammered it in as hard as I could with a carabiner

we were still discussing the need and placements for bolts on the intial slab past the horizontals
I thought this was your zen moment.

Or was it

could you just read me the editorial over tea and a bubble bath?

or, more likely:
the missing stud is easily backed up about a foot higher with a nut placement.

mine is tinged with definite pain:
A0 bolt ladder on a slab?

It is solid for a fall but if there is much movement on it it could be dangerous.

The anchors are getting pretty bad at the top. Hopefully me and a buddy will get out soon and replace them but if somebody beats us that would even be better.

Yes, it would.

WHen I was in eighth grade Jimmy Alison snuck into the band room and fired a stone down the gullet of Andrea Vignaroli's clarinet. We called her shit lips from then on.

You don't normally have a clarinet on a rock climb, but if you do it works. I guess you can wipe with the reed.

This was pretty good

I ain't skeered.

With Zoso if we survived then I would exact my revenge by tricking him into leading a sandbagged runout horrorfest pitch or two... Then once he was rattled and disoriented from that I would force him to endure listening to Boissal attempt to toprope the classic Little Creatures at Dogwood.

By the end he would be driving like an old gramma in a church parking lot.

With the piton dude I would consider heading over to Touch Up and giving the lead line a small pull as he climbed above the piton, just to test the validity of his claims...
