Does anybody remember when they were 30 lbs lighter, 15 years younger, and didn't give a crap about whether gear held? Remember when you didn't have anything to be responsible for, could clip anything that had and eyelet, and blissfully climbed past? Those were the times.

I recently took a thirty footer just standing on a newly placed knifeblade. I guess when it was driven, a hairline crack was created across the middle of the pin, inside the crack. The pin was fixed for about 6 months when I gumby-ed upon it, sat back and away I went. The back of the pin did not sho...

I can vouch for how crappy Mountain Hardware has become. I bought my wife a MH down coat in 2000, and bought her another in 2009. The one from 2000 is stained, looks used, but still gets the job done. The 2009 model has seems like it lost chunks of fill and is a much colder coat. It also has cheaper...
