Re: black diamond peckers #2 and #3

Funny! I am looking to buy the smallest tri cams. I heard that they came out with one smaller than the glorious pink one! I'm willing to trade for tricams also.

Thanks for the tip. This books sounds like a good read. photos for Cat in June 2013 Durf aka Lou Ferrigno was a great swamper! Re: A few old school Grand Canyon photos

No harm done with any comments from ZOZO. The boat was designed by my cousin who was an old grand guide during the eightees. I am co-owner with him. He used to build boats for the companies on the off season. This is a collaboration of what worked during those years. I got some 12 foot oars for it a...

Re: A few old school Grand Canyon photos

Thats really cool Bsmoot. I aspire to renting a huge rig from Cieba Adventures and taking the family down, but I'm too scared of people doing the jeckel and hyde thing after a few days away from "smart" phones and plumbing and going cookoo. What year was that?

Re: My latest GUMBY moment

Nope..not the rattlehorn, I won't go back up to that choss pile! This place is much taller and chossy like the fishers except this rock is sharp and solid when it breaks off. After Pete the Meat re-establishes the trail, I will go back up as a belay slave.

Viva La Chossoptimist!

good story!

Re: My latest GUMBY moment

Great posts! I'll add another: Back in my Zion days the late great Daniel "Guata" Garcia was leading the very first pitch of Moonlight buttress. This was the direct start rather than the 5.9 ramp out left. Anyhow, there were a few of us at the base and Guata was leading up through the 5.10...

Re: My latest GUMBY moment

Great one Brian!!!! This is a great example of the difference between the gym and the real world. You (BSMOOT) climb stuff that you DONT FALL on where they climb stuff that the slightest thumb cramp results in a hoppy jump/bail into the air whilst their flat brimmed skittle colored hat floats like a...

Re: My latest GUMBY moment

a semi-climbing Gumby Moment: I found a potato gun while cleaning apartments in the summer of 1999. Most people know that they are made of 2" pvc pipe. The end of the pipe is sharp so you can push an oversized potato into the barrell and it peels it to fit the tube tightly. Anyhow, I drove to t...
