Re: Wasatch History

the aid skills for his time are what got me. looking at those long, wide sustained corners w/ out cams must have been daunting. the crux overhang on bottleneck looks improbable as well, either extreme faith in hexes, or insecure tubes or bongs must have been necassary. i get scared enough wi...

Re: Wasatch History

not quite inspired by the Wasatch, but i'm sure it will lead back here. after rapping down the Jim Langdon's Route on Bottleneck peak yesterday, i'm curious about his story. FA of that, solo no less, in 1973(pre friends on baggy fists?), and FFA of Regge Pole with Jeff Lowe is all i've been able to ...

Re: traditional utah photography

I'm pretty sure the pictured climb isn't Expect No Mercy. as said by others, that rig is fun, first pitch could be a good contender for best of it's grade in the wasatch. Ten, the belay shown on topo is a good bolt w/ no other hardware. it's as good a stance as any(whole thing is a surprisingly low ...

Re: SLCA's LCC Graffiti Removal, Sept. 19

does anyone have a number for the sheriff's in the canyon?

saw a gang of 6 or so(not confirmed taggers, but what else are you gonna do up there w/ out pads) up there last friday night, but as it was me and my ladyfriend, i would have prefered to call in the bigger guns.

Re: New Zealand info?

Thanks for all the info guys, this is just what i was looking for. doesn't look like we should have too much trouble finding a place to sleep, which was the main concern. i'll be sure to post some pic's after the trip(early Oct.). anyone looking to collect beer for their info, email, or track me dow...

Re: S-crack tat.

i think i'm limited to a saturday run for now, but would love to hear about any free action on that. as i recall, the last few times i've just batman'd up the webbing as quickly as i can, always worried about time.

it would be fun to hang out and check out those moves, though.

S-crack tat.

Anyone know the condition? i've got some old rope i was gonna hang, but no need to haul it up there if the it's been replaced recently.

along those lines, does monkey or anyone have any interest in replacing the bolts on the .12a slab? if so, i'm happy to leave a line hanging up there.

Is there a doctor in the house?

Ok, so against my will(and better judgement) i seem to be getting older, and while nothing is broken yet, i'm hoping to keep it that way. are there any climbing md's out there that anyone here would reccomend? i recall weschrist ranting about a friend giving talks at the front at one point, but i th...

Re: Stone Alliance Film Tour

i know i'm more easily entertained than most, but i had a fun time out that night. a full movie would have been nice, but 3 is a bit much for the tower seats(and lack of beer, see above). i got about what i expected, more than a trailer, less than a full movie of each. with three movies advertised, ...
