Re: Favorite Ruckman-"isms?"

There have been days when it felt 12b, and days when it felt all of 12d. Since the flake at the end is now gone, I'm going to say 12c, and I doubt I would get any arguments. Andrew Burr, take note.

Re: Favorite Ruckman-"isms?"

Not an "ism", but I always loved that the Rucks gave Meat Puppet 12b without ever having been up the damn thing. What's the expiration on that creative license?

Re: 2010 SLCA Fundraiser

Seth was a force of nature and is missed for sure. It's cool his parents are coming out from Chicago for the event. The poster fails to mention that the slide show will cover many decades of Wasatch development and tall tales. Brian Smoot will contribute for the 70's & 80's Doug Heinrich and I w...

Happy b-day Shingo! Toasty temps, three cryptic cruxes - you're money was never at risk. The six-pack prize is still a virgin.

I'd vote for Hypoxia (12d/13a) at Stone Garden in the Uintas. Proper name.

Storm and I looked at that long ago. Thin and beautifully desperate. Who's got the tiny digits?

Re: Guilt Trip - Challenge in BCC - bolts added?

Glad this got resolved peacefully. I was charging up my new Hilti chopping attachment. I am certainly ALL for new routes. But there are guidebooks/mountainproject.com/rockclimbing.com for a reason. Do yer fuggin homework before you drill. And Brian, don't be such a puss. Those red tags were just sug...

Re: Totally off topic but worth a good laugh

Alright, I'm taking up a collection so we can pay steveoh to be our "don't move to Utah and fuck it up" lobbyist. He makes a good case, and has a persuasive style. Spread the word to all your friends steve, and we'll cross your palms with silver. Seriously, every time I road trip and peopl...

Re: John Bachar RIP

There's a great photo retrospective at Climbing.com

So many of those images are burned into my memory as a young climber. They were posters in retail stores or in mags. I can't say he was a role model, but a strong influence for sure.
