Re: Where is the hardest Pitch(es) at altitude in Utah?

I'd imagine that the hardest pitches--at altitude-- here in the Wasatch would most certainly be found at Lone Peak Cirque. There may be more difficult moves on certain sport lines in the Uintas, for sure, but the steeper lines on the Question Mark Wall, for instance, combine sustained climbing, tric...

Re: Youtube moments of zen

these guys are climbing at a crag called breakneck rocks, outside of connellsville, pa--southeast of pittsburgh. i was there once while attending school in pittsburgh, and from the looks of it, the locals have not changed one bit--perpetual gumbies of the sketchiest order, they're the types who are ...

Re: Nick of Time Retrievable rock anchors!!

I agree with Ten--it sure wouldn't hurt to carry one or two of these if you're exploring ground-up. We still get one or two customers a year here at IME who stop in to inquire about them. Could someone post a pic? How much would these run? Can they hold a whipper? S

Who's in?

Whaddup, Everyone? I just learned that on the 10th of April, the Weber State University Outdoor Program--with the help of Ogden-area climber/activists--will be hosting their Annual 9th Street Boulder-Field Clean-Up! A group of us representing the SLCA will be headed up to lend them a hand; if anyone...
