Missing!

A well-used #4 C4 Camalot, last seen in the vicinity of the East Gate Buttress. It must have accidentally unclipped from my gear-sling, somewhere along the way up Tingey's Terror/Torture en route to the Flakes; more than likely, it's still racked with a 'biner through one of the cam lobes. There's a...

NO STAR TUESDAY!!!

Sorry for such short notice, everyone! Zac's had his hands full trying to post pics from our last meeting at Lisa Falls, so I'll just go ahead and post it! Tomorrow, we'll be exploring the No Star potential at the Black Peeler... I'll be there early--hope to see you there! S

SNAKES!!!

Though it goes without saying, BE CAREFUL OUT THERE, EVERYONE! It seem that the recent, rainy weather has contributed to an unusually dense growth of the grasses that line many of the approach trails in LCC, as anyone who has traveled up to the Schoolroom can surely attest--it looks like a jungle th...

Lone Peak Snow Conditions

Happy 4th, everyone! A buddy and I made a quick day trip to the Cirque yesterday; about a week or so ago, a thread appeared in the mp.com forum asking how much snow remained in the Cirque. Here's what we found: The Jacob's Ladder is dry, though a bit more washed out than last season, due--no doubt--...

Re: SNAKES!!!

a buddy of mine told me of two snakes--just one of them a rattler, though--falling of the top of some sport climb in city creek!!! how f-ed is that? as if it's not enough to have to worry about them lurking about one's ankles--they're now falling out of the sky! s

Re: Favorite Hikes in the Wasatch

My vote's for Lone Peak! Though the bottom half of the Corner Canyon/Jacob's Ladder approach is less-than-inspiring, the upper meadows, slabs and drainage into the cirque proper are not to be missed! In a few weeks time, the wildflowers should be in full bloom and the snow in the cirque mostly gone....

Re: SLCA's LCC Graffiti Removal, Sept. 19

Jeff, You MUST let me know further in advance; I WANT to help out, but had promised to join a friend in the Blcak this weekend... Bummer. PLEASE post these projects with at least a week's notice--I feel awful for having missed this, as well as the last min-project. Let me know if we'll be doing some...
