Re: Wasatch History

Hey Brian,

When are you going to write a Wasatch History book? I would love to see a book simliar to Crushers desert tower book. If you aren't interested, maybe I'll do it?

Re: Trip Reports

This is a great story. I especially love that it happened in a hipster zone such as a climbing gym. I recently felt like an alien climbing in Ferguson. It seems much different from that of the 90's which is when I started. One thing I have noticed is that there are more capable female climbers. Toda...

Re: anchors.

This one beats it all: The triple expansion bolt summit anchor has been sloughed off Long Dong, we found it in the dirt a ways away from the tower. The next party out there will want to bring a bolt kit but more likely a bunch of webbing to sling the top of the tower for an anchor. http://mountainpr...

Re: anchors.

Glad to see it still looks great! I wanted Rob to have a warm fuzzy welcome feeling when he arrived at the end of the pitch. Cold shut is bomber. The chain weighed more than my rack. Strongest anchor on this thread!

Re: The Fin Rose on the Fin

I figured it was a fun joke by Dennis. He seems like a pretty good guy. The only time I met him was when I was stuck by myself without a rope, at the tree that is at the start of the last pitch to the great white icicle. I soloed up to that point and didn't have the nutsack to do the last 40 foot se...

The Fin Rose on the Fin

I was reading the old Wasatch guidebook title Desparate Grace. Not only having one of the most fitting names for a guidebook pertaining to LCC granite, it also holds a very interesting route called the Fin Rose. As an "author" of a "guidebook" that involved many jokes, nicknames,...

Re: Trip Reports

Let me guess, the couple wore really tight jeans, super thin soled sneaker, black framed glasses and were members of some kind of cross fit? Perhaps some pastel colored rims on their souped up subaru, or a bike from some type of collective? This sounds typical of the milleniums, they seem to be much...

Re: Milford Crags/ Mineral Mnts./ Rock Corral ?'s

I climbed the chimney/flake in the middle and one pitch up on the slab above around 1997. The rock is can be gravel-esc so drilling this on lead was kind of scary. Always wanted to return, but never did. We also climbed a few other scattered routes. I bet there would be some okay climbing if it were...
