if you read climbing mag there is an article in the most recent one with beth's 5.14 about companies that will take your ropes for recycling the inners and the sheath or make rugs.

Don't put your ropes in the trash!

side note maybe deserving of it's own thread but anyone notice that the SLCA website (http://www.saltlakeclimbers.org) is a bit stale?

I was there for work with the dept of ag. Didn't have any gear or partner for that matter but said I should come back and climb. Got the relevant info and went and tooled around in some lava caves instead.

If you go to the ranger station they have a book and will photocopy stuff for you if you're nice. They did for me at least. I didn't get to climb anything though. Still really want to.
