Re: your mp moment of zen...

After several discussions with members of the climbing community regarding the retro-bolting that was done on the right side of Penitentiary Wall. The bolts have been removed. The upper anchors remain. The reasons the bolts were removed are as follows: 1. They were on well established existing rout...

Re: Bolted Line on the Wave

I noticed a bolted line on the Wave wall in BCC. On the West facing side to the right of the 5.7 crack. Not the 5.11 on the back wall, but on the Wave wall proper. Does anyone have any beta on it? It looks pretty moderate. Thanks! Have not climbed it. It may have been bolted by the same guy who has...

Re: My latest GUMBY moment

Not a true climbing GUMBY moment. But it does include a rope and harness. Just the other day I decided to ski the NW cooly on the Pfiefferhorn. I had never done it nor had I ever rappeled during a ski descent. I figured it was time so I headed out by myself, not having taken the time to arrange a pa...

Re: CLIMBING WITH GIRLS!!!

What happened? Hammer blow? Negative. It was a hauling accident involving a Protraxion. Pinched off between the loaded rope and the pulley wheel or the cam, not sure which. Lesson: always keep your hands off the loaded end of the haul system and away from the hauling device. Edit: Tyler beat me to ...

Re: The cheapening of gear.

I have used their shoes for the past 8 years. The 1st pair lasted 4 years. The 2nd pair lasted 2 years. The 3rd pair has lasted ...
