This one is awesome - just captures the spirit for me (although the anti-spot is pretty hilarious!).

Re: Really

I don't know, those squirrels in the Hidden Forest probably thought it was the prettiest nut in the world and took it to their squirrel village and sang it songs (similar to what the Ewoks did with Leah). Seriously though, bummer.

Re: Black Bible

Judging from his blog, Jamie is working on a guidebook for alpine Colorado areas. He's also added this bit about Joe's - I think his expertise about Utah bouldering generally would be limited to that area: http://www.b3bouldering.com/new-boulders-in-joes-valley/ Also, Anthony Chertudi seems to be wo...

Barraka. Rad problem, not often done, go get some! 11254061 2 thoughts: 1) awesome spotting. really, the guy is just walking down the trail and throws his pad down. pretty cool. 2) perhaps no one does this because heinous lip traverses at bone crushing heights after pumpy overhangs are, um, heinous.

Re: shoe opinions

What's the difference between the anasazi velcro and the gallileo? The both seem to be stiff soled edging monsters. Is there any sort of situational advantage to one over the other or is it just a matter of fit?

Re: The LCC Obscure Grade

The traverse that starts on the crimpy underclings and then proceeds to test sloper strength just around the corner from duct tape and gerbils (to the left and on the same boulder). That said, originally, this un-named gem was rated v6 and then downgraded to v5. Seems apropos given the catalyst to t...

Re: ASCA

invalid w/o pix. You want pics? Then stop by IME and get some. IME has 12 on the rack for 20 bucks each. If they dont have your size then let me know. Who pays twenty bucks for a shirt? I remember paying $15 for a Stussy shirt when I was twelve (if that doesn't date me), so maybe if I account for i...

Re: LCC classic miserable problems

Someone asked me at the party saturday what my favorite V5 in the canyon was - in my intoxicated haze I was unable to come up with an answer (V5? Who wants to know about V5?!). Tom's (arete) Problem @ (just above) the Cabbage Patch. Best V5 problem in LCC (actually graded V5). + has misery potentia...

Re: Copperhead Right - history or myth?

I'm fairly sure sure this whole thing involves someone misunderstanding Garth and his Aussie accent. The way I think it happened is that he told a local that he had done a problem in between Twisted and Lance's. When he asked a local about it, he said "That's Copperhead, right?" :D Well p...

Thanks for the clarification. I don't think it came across as slander.
