Many times over the past few years, Save Our Canyons staff and trustees have been approached by our members who fondly recall the Wasatch Front Forums. The Forums brought the discussion of important environmental issues to the forefront of our community by assembling a panel of activists, experts, political leaders and stakeholders and providing an audience for their own views and opinions.
If you yourself have asked this question, ask no more! Westminster College recently approached Save Our Canyons with the goal of renewing this important event and we enthusiastically agreed to do so. With the help of KCPW and Westminster College, Save Our Canyons is excited to announce a new series of The Wasatch Front Forum. The inaugural topic will be Wasatch Wilderness and the panel will include Gale Dick of Save Our Canyons, Loren Kroenke District Ranger of The Wasatch/Cache National Forest, Jeff Niermeyer of Salt Lake Public Utilities and Ryan Miller, Utah Representative for the International Mountain Biking Association. The panel represents a broad array of opinions and viewpoints concerning Wasatch Wilderness, all of which will be welcomed in the spirit of constructive conversation. Arrive early for good seats and come with an open mind and plenty of questions. The panel will provide their perspective and then be on hand to take questions from the audience.
